Week 2 - Day 4

I'm still feeling good following this diet. Today's breakfast was very delicious! I am continuing with my cafe latte, and Gil bought me some huevos con chorizo so I had about half of what you see pictured below. :-)

Lunch was fantastic!!!! I ordered a side salad with a side of shrimp and chicken! All mixed in...doesn't it look fabulous!? :-)

Dinner was a little tough tonight... I mean, I AM preparing for Vegas this weekend... AND wine was offered...along with pita bread, rice, hummus, veggie salad, and roasted chicken! I had everything but the rice and pita bread! YES... I had some wine! I just couldn't resist!! ;-) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Week 2 - Day 3

Good morning!!!! Today's coffee was amazing! One of my friends gave me the idea of drinking my fat free milk by making myself a latte. So delish!!

I got stuck at work during lunch, so I made my oat bran with cinnamon meal. It held me over until my early dinner at Gyu Kaku!

Talk about protein!! (I had to stay away from the veggies)

I also definitely had to stay away from this:

Week 2 - Day 2

Breakfast - Oat Bran Lunch - In-N-Out hamburger protein style- no sauce

Dinner - Went to PF Changs tonight! Had a great time with the girls...AND was able to stay away from the naughty food! (I did sneak an orange peel shrimp or two!) ;-) But overall felt great!!! No Great Wall of Chocolate, or any of the 3 other desserts!

Week 2 - Day 1

Monday - May 16, 2011

I discovered a new snack!!! I take my Fat Free Yoplait yogurt and freeze it! ;-) So delish!!! It's my version of ice cream.

Overall, I'm still feeling the "normal feeling" of life - I'm not going crazy about not being able to eat certain foods. :-)

What'd I eat:
Breakfast - Coffee... That's it! (not a good thing, but I wasn't hungry!)
Lunch - Tri Tip Dinner - scrambled egg whites with hot dog slices. ;-)
Dessert - Frozen Yogurt
Dinner: Oat Bran.

Brunch

Today is protein/veggie day!! Woo hoo!! I was able to do a good job at the buffet! Eggs (with salsa!!) meats, and veggies with a glass of cold water! ;-)

Stayed away from all the temptation - arroz con leche, sweet corn cake, churros, flan, tortillas con frijolitos de la olla, quesadillas... Omg!! Im hungry now! :-( - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Las night's dinner... :-(

Last night was not too good! :-( We went to a little hole in the wall type of place in Olvera Street that did not have an all protein option!! :-( I ended up deciding on the chile relleno, which is a chile dipped in egg whites, BUT filled with cheese!! AND FRIED!!! ack! Oh well... At least I didn't have the taquitos or tamales! (the only other option) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Day 5 - Breakfast

Gil and I decided to get away from home for breakfast... One thing I'm really liking about this diet is that I can pretty much eat anywhere, just have to make sure my meal is protein-friendly! I ordered the omelette with ham and a bit of chorizo! (No cheese) and my potatoes and toast went to Gil... My meal:

Day 4! :)

Today was an awesome day!  I felt really good throughout the day and was not starving!!!

Today's Dining Experiences:

Breakfast - Yogurt with coffee
Lunch - Baja Fresh(side of chicken and side of beef!)  I was dining with a friend, and temptation took over me for a little tiny...the tiniest i've ever seen... I HAD A TORTILLA CHIP!!!!  :(
Dinner - A plate of seasoned chicken and shrimp! :)  Super good!!!
Snack - Fat Free Yogurt...which I froze! ;)

YOU HUNGRY YET!? ;-)

Day 3 - Thursday 5-12-11

I tried to post last night, but Blogger was down! :-(
So here's yesterday's update...

I weighed myself again, and im down about 7 lbs! ;-)  This diet is amazing!!!!  The only thing that really sucked was that I went to the gym tonight, and took a really tough class!  I was "dying!"  Not literally, but I did get pretty light headed at one point. No wonder why the diet says to walk 20 minutes each day! >:P

So here's what I ate:

Breakfast - Coffee, non dairy creamer, splenda, and yogurt with oat bran.
Lunch - Tri-tip from Stonefire Grill... sooo goood! ;)
Snack - Leftover tri-tip! ;0)
Dinner - BBQ drumsticks.

Homemade BBQ drumsticks

Stonefire Grill Tri-tip without the ball of butter!

Day 2 cont.

Good night everyone! Here's today's breakdown!

What did I eat?

Breakfast: Venti Iced coffee from Starbucks, 2 splenda, and non fat milk. 1 slice of smoked turkey breast.
Snack: More turkey and lots of water!
Lunch: Roasted Chicken...breast and drumstick...bottled water.
Snack: Fat free yogurt
Dinner: 2 tbs. Of Oat Bran with some non fat milk, seasoned with cinnamon and splenda... Sooo delicious and filling!! I drank a whole water bottle, and was fine while I was working the second job!
Snack: Another yogurt!

By the way...although it's only my second day...I'm realizing that this diet is not bad!! I've lost more weight, but prior to posting would like to weigh myself again tomorrow! (just in case the scale is off?) ;-)

Good Night!!

Dukan - Day 2

Wooo hoo!! I'm almost done with my second day of consuming pure protein!  Definitely doesn't feel as bad as I thought I would...  Not like a "typical diet feeling" where you're starving yourself because you try to only eat "grass" throughout the day! ;-)

One thing that I've been missing from my diet is the "Oat Bran"  I went to three different stores and finally was able to find it!  I wonder if it's not as "available" since lots of people are trying out the diet??

Below is my "Day 2 Pose"  We'll see if there's a diference in a few weeks! ;-)

Temptation

Last night was tough!  I went out to visit a friend... She had made dinner!

Spaghetti, vegetable/marinara sauce, salad, sliced french bread with balsamic
vinegar and olive oil!  OH! and WINE!

I must say though...pretty proud of my will power!
Although the food/wine sat in front of me for nearly an hour...never did I
take a bite of anything!! ;D

Attack Phase - Day 1

Although I began my journey yesterday...due to some oversight, I ate beans for lunch.  ---I thought these were O.K to eat since they're so full of protein, but apparently not! :-(

Therefore, I will officially begin today, and consider yesterday my "ease in period"

So What Did I Eat?
Breakfast: Non-Fat Yogurt, coffee, and three turkey sausage links
Snack: 2 slices of turkey
Lunch: 2 egg whites, 1 yolk, 2 hot dog links with Italian Seasoning
Snack: Yogurt, slice of turkey
Dinner: Beef Steak

LOTS OF WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY!!!

Ugh....seeing those meals written down, make me realize just how boring they are!!!  But I guess it's understandable since I've just begun...  ***trying to stay positive***

Best part is that I weighed myself today and I'm down 1.5 lbs! Woo hoo!!
I'll get some pictures up soon....

Calculate your True Weight | The Dukan Diet

As promised, below is the chart showing exactly how long I will need to be on each of the phases of this diet.  The main goal of this diet is to "train me" into keeping my weight off by following a set of "rules" when choosing the foods I eat...

Wondering what you're "graph" will look like?  Click on the link below! :)

Calculate your True Weight | The Dukan Diet

First Post

I first heard about the Dukan Diet from one of my co-workers. She was all excited about it, and started giving me the quick breakdown.  Initially, this diet sounded so much like the Atkins Diet I tried a few years ago, however not as fatty!

I know that one of the reasons why I've gained a lot of weight lately is due to all the CARBS I've been consuming, therefore although this diet sounds "to good to be true"...I decided to begin on my journey to losing the extra baggage! ;D

I won't go into many details of the diet for now since my goal is to use this blog as my "Daily Eating Journal" which will will help motivate me in continuing with this journey!

I'll try my best to update this on a daily basis...and will be as honest as possible... oh no! I'm already nervous!!! ;-)

I'm super excited to begin on this journey, which according to www.dukandiet.com should take me 204 days to get to reach/maintain my "goal weight"

I'll attach more on this in a few...
